Bangkok Day 2

Okay so first, it rains daily here. When I say rains, I mean serious monsoon style rain. It comes out of nowhere, the skies turn black and the skies open up with sheets of rain. It last about 1.5 to 2 hours but wow, everything floods and nothing keeps you dry.

I have been eating very strange fruits here. I just try whatever people put in my hand. But, I have pictures of them and they are "mega tasty". Coconut ice cream is a pretty awesome Thai tradition. As it sushi - which I didn't know was so popular in Thailand but I love it and the hotel lunch has it so I get it every day. Oh, food update - tried wild bore today. It's fatty and chewy and not my favorite. But, hey, try everything once.

Sarah and I went shopping today in our free time. We went to MBK which is a 7 story Thai mall and it was insane. Truely overwhelming. But, I got lots of cool stuff and didn't spend all that much money and so that is good. But, I did buy things I don't know how I am getting back in my suitcase. Guess I will cross that bridge when I come to it.

Oh, the school is going to pay for a group of us to fly to Saigon from Hanoi so we are going to get to go to Cambodia! More later - movie time at some crazy modern theater with recliners!
